III. d. Join two data tables

The data used in one table may not always have all the required information. So we can add data from other tables. Hence, joining of two tables is required
This exercise will help you:

- Right Click on the “All_Crashes_04-06”
- Drop down the cursor to “Joins and Relates” then click on “Join”
- In the “Choose the field in this layer the table will be based on” field, drop the cursor and click on “CRASHNUMBE”
- In the “Choose the table to join in this layer, or load the table from the disk” click on the folder option and select “Interstate to Interstate” folder on the disk and select the “AGESEXFI.dbf”
- In the “Choose the field in the field to base the join on” field, drop the cursor and [left]click on “CRASHNUMBE”
- [Left]Click “OK”
- Right click on the “All_Crashes_04-06” and click on “Open Attribute table” two columns would be added in the end.
